1. Nipple drinking system

The nipple drinker is a closed type drinker with many advantages, the water quality is not easy to be polluted, it can reduce the spread of diseases, the evaporation is small, and it has a wide range of adaptability, and it does not need to be cleaned after use, reducing labor intensity and saving water. It can overcome the shortcomings of open drinking fountains and is gradually recognized by people. However, it is more difficult to install and debug than other drinking fountains. Good quality (products from regular manufacturers) cost a lot, while poor quality ones are low in cost, but they are unreliable in use, and water leakage often occurs, making the environment of the chicken house humid.

Nipple drinkers often use drip cups to catch the water leaking from the nipple drinker. When there is water in the cup, chickens drink from the cup, and when there is no water, they drink from the contact rod of the nipple drinker.

There should be anti-perch steel wires and pulse electric shocks on the water supply line to prevent chickens from stepping on the water supply line. After the installation is completed, water must be supplied. The chickens use their beaks to peck. After pecking out the water, they slowly form a conditioned reflex, and they can drink at any time when they are thirsty. If the water is not supplied in time after it is installed, the chicken will not be able to peck the water, which will affect future drinking. When using nipple drinkers for flat-raising chickens, attention should be paid to the installation height. The hanging height should be adjusted according to the age of the chickens. Generally, it is required to exceed the chicken head by 1 ~ 3cm(0.39-1.18 inch). Each nipple drinker can be used for 3~6 adults or 10~20 chicks.

In order to ensure that chickens can drink fresh water at any time, it is best to use an automatic water supply device. The working water pressure of the nipple drinker is low, and it is often used in conjunction with a pressure regulating valve or a water tank to adjust the water pressure to suit the needs of chickens of different ages. The suitable water pressure is: 14.7~24.5kPa for chicks; 24.5~ 34.3kPa. To avoid the phenomenon that the water pressure is too high or too low, the chicken cannot drink water or the nipple drinker leaks. In addition, the nipple drinker cannot be used within 20 days after the chicken is cut off, because the beak is sore and dare not peck.

2. Automatic feeding system

It is mainly composed of a feed tower, feeding pans, conveying pipe, auger, motor and feed level sensor. At present, the feeding line system used in many chicken farms will have two systems: the main feeding line and the auxiliary feeding line. The capabilities and specifications of each of the two systems vary. Main feeding line system is composed of a feed tower, feed conveying pipe, auger, motor and feed level sensor. Its main function is to transport the feed in the feed tower to the hopper of the auxiliary feeding line, and there is a feed level sensor to automatically control the conveying switch of the motor to achieve the purpose of automatic feeding. Auxiliary feeding line system consists of a hopper, a feeding pipe, an auger, a feeding pan, a suspension lifting device, a motor and a feed level sensor. Its main function is to transport the feed in the hopper to each feeding pan to ensure the eating of the broilers, and the feed level sensor will automatically control the opening and closing of the motor to achieve the purpose of automatic feeding.

The feeding pan on each feeding line is generally divided into 16 grids, which can supply 50-70 chickens with a normal diet, and the feed is evenly distributed. It can effectively reduce the work intensity of chicken farmers, save breeding costs, and save time and effort.

3. Ventilation equipment

The function of ventilation equipment is to foul air, moisture and excess heat from the chicken house, while replenishing fresh air. Closed chicken houses must adopt mechanical ventilation, which can be divided into horizontal ventilation and longitudinal ventilation according to the direction of airflow in the house. Horizontal ventilation means that the direction of airflow in the house is perpendicular to the long axis of the house, and longitudinal ventilation refers to a ventilation method in which a large number of fans are concentrated in one place so that the airflow in the house is parallel to the long axis of the house. Longitudinal ventilation has a better effect, which can eliminate and overcome the dead angle of ventilation in the house and the phenomenon of small and uneven wind speed during horizontal ventilation, and at the same time eliminate the disadvantages of cross-infection between chicken houses caused by horizontal ventilation. Commonly used ventilation equipment in chicken houses are ventilation fans and cooling pads.

4. Environmental control equipment

Real-time automatic control of temperature, humidity, ventilation, etc. in the poultry house, the purpose is to provide enough fresh air for the poultry house, discharge excessive waste gas and toxic gases (ammonia, carbon dioxide, etc.), to ensure a suitable environment in the poultry house Temperature and humidity to meet the needs of poultry growth.

The environmental control system can control the fan in real-time:

The air in the chicken house contains ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide and other gases. If these concentrations are too large and the action time is long, the chicken's physique will deteriorate, the resistance will decrease, and the incidence rate will increase. The light intensity in the chicken house farm is adjusted to ensure sufficient light time. Sufficient light time is an important factor to ensure the health and rapid growth of chickens. For cloudy chicken houses with dark light or insufficient sunlight time in winter, auxiliary lighting should be appropriately increased to make up for the lack of light due to weather and seasonal factors.
